My Racquet of Choice

Ektelon Speedport
Pink Camo is designed for those players looking to add a bit of color to their game. With each racquet purchase Ektelon makes a donation to Rally for a Reason and Breast Cancer Research. Save some lives and be the first to pick up one of these new sticks. The Pink Camo is the exact same frame as the Speedport Camo/Red with a different paint scheme. Ektelon's Power Plug technology offers 6 different swing weight configurations. Depending on the location and amount of Plugs added to the frame's Speed-ports, players now have complete control of the overall weight and balance of the racquet. It's like having 6 racquets in one!

My Racquet Choice

Babolat AeroPro Drive GT Plus

With its extra length (an added half-inch over the standard) the AeroPro Drive Plus GT takes the spin and power of the regular version and kicks it up a notch. There's more power and spin to be had from all areas of the court thanks to increased tip speed from the longer beam. Players will have to be a tad stronger to wield this version as the increased length bumps up the swingweight. At net the racquet offers some impressive pop with a crisp and clean feel. Targeting is solid and the racquet offers the kind of feedback that provides the player with an instant feel for depth and angle. On serve this racquet truly shines. Offering tremendous access to both power and spin, this takes big serves and makes them huge. The perfect option for the player who likes to serve big and then follow up with big groundstrokes, this racquet is well worth a demo. Best suited to 4.0+ level players.

Wilson K-Blade 98

Versatile racquet in the KBlade line, the 98 combines the control of a player's racquet with added forgiveness and pop. It has plenty of power and control. Weighing in at just over 11 ounces strung, it is found to have had faster swing speeds to be easily generated. Offered in a 18/20 string pattern like its predecessor, the nBlade, the K Blade delivers accuracy from the baseline. Players at the 4.0+ level should find both forehands and backhands easy to dial in with direction and control. Spin easy to generate - especially slice. The generous sweetspot makes volleying feel crisp even when striking the ball slightly off center. This is a comfortable stick to wield at net. There's plenty of feel offered in this racquet, which will please players who utilize touch shots. When serving, it is found to have enough power to help get the ball away. However, this racquet has been designed primarily for control. It offers a solid feel, providing consistency of feel and precision from all areas of the court. Best suited to 4.0+ level players.
